Panel mounting printer is easy to install and use Mini-printer specialist, Able Systems, has launched a new compact and robust panel mounting printer range, the Ap25. Highly user-friendly, the unit is straight forward to install and use. Able Systems' Ap25 range is built round the company's recently launched A104C controller chip and A104B interface board. Incorporating an IBM character set as default but with access to international character sets, the Ap25 range provides a reliable and versatile printing solution. Available in 24, 32 or 40 column versions (Ap25-24, Ap25-32 and Ap25-40) the Ap25 range also uses an Epson impact dot matrix printer mechanism.
Measuring just 113.5mm x 66mm x 96mm, all the printers in the Ap25 range are straight forward to mount into a panel. Changing the paper roll and snap-in ribbon cartridge is equally quick and convenient, as the door swings open to allow easy access. Featuring a polycarbonate case for strength and durability the Ap25 range utilises readily available, low cost paper, reducing lifetime costs. A five sided metal case into which the Ap25 can be fitted to provide additional EMC protection is also available. Other add-on boards may be ordered to enhance the range still further. The Ap25 range replaces Able Systems' Ap24 range, which was one of the longest standing and best selling products from Able Systems. The existing Ap24+ and Ap24XS ranges will continue to be offered alongside the new Ap25 products.
