	Feature rich printer is the most compact ever seen
The most compact 3 inch (7.62cm), 5V thermal line printer mechanism yet produced concentrates many print capabilities into its small volume. The new CP305 MRS from Able Systems is 20mm in height, including the printer control board, with outside dimensions of the entire package measuring just 121mm width x 20mm height x 55mm depth. Operating from a single power supply of 4.5V to 8.5V maximum, the CP305-MRS features software controllable printing modes with 2 resident character sets, 5 graphics modes and support for ten bar code standards. High maximum print speed of 60mm/s is balanced by power management features including software selectable dynamic head division and a sub-10 micro Amp sleep mode with auto wake-up or external control. A further variant, the CP305-MRS/C also features a software-controlled paper cutter. Communication is via the integrated 115 K-Baud RS-232 serial interface or Centronics-compatible parallel port. The printer detects serial or parallel host communications after power-up and automatically adopts the appropriate mode. Additional external control options include paper-feed and selection of printer on/off line. The wide range of print modes makes the CP305-MRS a powerful choice for many commercial, industrial, medical and scientific applications including security tagging, labelling, ticketing and POS equipment. The two resident character sets feature 9 x 20 pixel and 13 x 24 pixel fonts with double or quadruple height and width modes, plus software adjustable character and line spacing. Extra, user selectable international characters are also available. The graphics commands give access to further powerful capabilities, and support for established bar code standards includes UPC and EAN formats, Code 39 and Codabar. contact@able-systems.com
