	Miniature thermal printer with serial, Bluetooth® and IrDA® interfaces has long paper roll plus various power options.
Able Systems has launched a new thermal portable printer that offers options of RS 232, IrDA and Bluetooth® communication interfaces. The Ap1310, a new model in the Ap13xx family, also has a much larger 38m paper roll as well as host of new power and driver options. Featuring a high speed, high quality fixed head thermal mechanism, the Ap1310 delivers very high quality text and graphics. The new printer is small enough to be held in the hand and has a strong case design that eliminates hinge stress while still allowing for the insertion of the paper roll with just one hand. There are several power options; re-chargeable cells, primary cells, mains supply, 12V supply, and in-vehicle solutions with a 12V charger. A full set of WindowsTM drivers as well as newly added Pocket PCTM drivers are available. Typical applications for the Ap1310 include: financial transactions, hospitality, mobile ticketing and recording, PDA printing, utility billing, in-vehicle receipting, test and measurement equipment and medical systems. Individual character sets can be chosen by software selection, while the default character set is IBM® 224, CP 437. Customisation of character fonts by the user is also possible through the use of the Font Editor Utility software, available separately. The unit comes with an RS-232 interface as standard, with optional Bluetooth (Ap1310-BT) and IrDA (Ap1310-IR) interfaces. Both offer full implementations of their respective standards with the IrDA supporting: IrPHY V1.0, IrLAP, IrLMP, IAS TinyTP and IrCOMM 9-wire. The interfaces operate up to 57,600 baud. The printer also includes a 20K bytes data buffer. Dimensions are 65 x 95 x 128 (HxWxL) and weight 446g including a full paper roll and battery. The printer uses a Fujitsu FTP-628MCL103 printhead that prints 384 dots per line at up to 60mm/s. contact@able-systems.com
