	Super-compact printer fits into space critical applications
The MP1245 from Able Systems is based upon the industry's smallest 58mm thermal line printer and features industry standard mounting points compatible with similar printers. The MP1245 is just 15mm high, and measures 66mm wide x 41mm deep, making it ideal for all printing applications where space is at a premium. All connections including stepper motor, opto-sensor, head up sensor and print head are made via a single flexi-cable, which greatly simplifies wiring and frees up even more space around the printer's tiny outline. Further ergonomic features include a centralised paper path, allowing the housing to be designed in a uniform and aesthetic shape. Critically, for such a small printer, the MP1245 achieves around twice the abrasion resistance of other mini-printers. This means it allows a long service life, particularly when used with low-cost paper rolls. Running from a single 4.5V to 8.5V supply, the MP1245 prints up to 60mm/s on 58mm paper. As a member of the standard-setting MP205 family, the MP1245 delivers 8 dots/mm resolution and is equipped with automatic paper loading, opto paper sensing and thermistor temperature control.
