Able Reveals World's First
mPOS Dedicated Printer

14th March 2017

We are excited to reveal our latest portable printing solution to market, the world’s first dedicated mPOS (mobile point of sale) printer, the Ap1600.

Our newest small printer solution has been designed with customers, independent retailers and stockists in mind, which also offers a great income opportunity for existing mPOS Card Reader providers.

The Ap1600 is compatible with any in-store existing mPOS set up, with the wireless mini printer being able to produce a receipt in seconds using cloud based software.

For many small retailers, the cost of a traditional till can be costly. mPOS payment systems provide a cheaper and more portable alternative, which often take up significantly less space.

However, we know that many customers are still wary about entering their pin number into a tablet or non-traditional chip and pin device, so being able to provide a legible receipt of transaction is key in providing that extra peace-of-mind

Further, being able to offer a printed receipt can significantly improve the perceived credibility of the business as well as increasing customer confidence, retention and future sales.

In fact, there have been many instances where retailers have ceased using mPOS directly because of consumer dissatisfaction of not being offered a printed receipt, or having to hand over their email address in order to be sent a ‘soft’ copy.

For mPOS solution providers such as SumUp, PayPal Here, iZettle etc. the Ap1600 can provide an additional revenue stream. We are able to supply the product using the same pricing models already in place for the provision of card readers to retail merchants, minimising the cost of entry to retailers. In essence, shop owners will be able to take advantage of a low cost piece of hardware that will help take their business to the next level.

The Ap1600 provides a cost-effective mobile printing option that is able to connect to all mPOS solutions. Retailers can download an app to a smartphone or tablet, which connects to the printer using cloud-based software; meaning customer data is encrypted and stored on the cloud – rather than on the device itself.
